FlexiCall

FlexiCall

The FlexiCall software feature turns employee cell and remote telephones into global extensions of your Coral IPx telephone system, regardless of location or wireless service provider. You need only one phone number and need only to check one voice mail system for messages. FlexiCall integrates your desk phone and mobile number to make sure you have a chance to answer every call. With the ability to ring both your cell and office phone simultaneously, you no longer have to worry about missing a call when away from your desk.

Freedom

Freedom

Do you need to connect your traveling or remote employees into the organization? Extend the Coral IPx system to users via their cellular or home telephones with Freedom. Coral Freedom gives today’s mobile workforce a very powerful tool without sacrificing security. Unlike DISA, Freedom authenticates users based on an ANI (Caller ID) programmed into the Coral.

The employee calls their own DID number and authenticates automatically. An optional password can be required. Once authenticated, the user has similar functions available to them as if they are sitting in their office. This includes paging, outbound calling with SMDR tracking and conference calls. You never have to be afraid to return a call from your cell phone. With Freedom, the party you are calling will see your office number as the inbound caller ID. The office is truly extended to your cell (or other remote) phone.

From a cell phone or other remote phone:

  • Works with any carrier's cell phones.
  • Also works with your home phone.
  • Pick up callers waiting on a page (park) queue.
  • Page a coworker inside the building.
  • Use the company network for toll savings.
  • Display the office phone number as your CID.
  • Call Accounting package will track your call so you can bill.
  • Eliminate the need for local OPX lines.
  • Employees don't need to use private cell numbers.
  • Change your FlexiCall settings.

Carefully review your requirements when considering FlexAir or Voice over Wireless LAN (VoWLAN) :

Quality -802.11 (WiFi) networks have no QOS and operate within frequencies generally too crowded for acceptable voice performance. A half second drop will go un-noticed by your PC, but is obvious on the phone.

Handover -FlexAir supports seamless handovers between base stations, while 802.11 only supports "break-before-make" handover. Ok for data but not for voice.

Security - 802.11 supports only static WEP which allows open access to any device on the network. Additional security measures mean more cost and overhead. DECT is a proven secure technology that completely eliminates eavesdropping & impersonation via 128 authentication and ID access.

Capacity -If any data traffic exists on the 802.11 network then 3 conversations is the practical limit. FlexAir provides 4 conversations and the ability to add additional base stations in hot traffic areas (each adding 4 more conversations) which is not an option with 802.11.

Battery Life -The newest WiFi handsets claim 4 hours talk-time and 60 hours standby. FlexAir handsets have 16 hours talk time and 150 hours standby. FlexAir handsets require only 20 minutes of recharge per day!
